A Barnsley author has released a book of stories dedicated to the film Kes. Kes is a 1960s Ken Loach film about a boy from Hoyland who finds a friend in a kestrel. The book's author Ronnie Steele compiled 47 stories from across the borough from people who starred in Kes or said they had their life changed by the film.
