On the 28th of July 2010, a U.S. Air Force Boeing C-17 Globemaster III, callsign Sitka 43, crashed at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Alaska during a training flight for an airshow. The aircraft stalled during a steep climb, rolled inverted, and impacted the ground, exploding on impact.
