Dogs I met at the shelter this week, and why they were surrendered. Dallas Animal Services is at over 130% capacity, with 50-100 animals coming in through the doors daily. Many of these are owner surrenders like these dogs. The shelter is being forced to make euthanasia decisions due to persistent lack of space. This is Ben #A1205139. He has had a very bumpy road on his journey to us! In February, he was found as a stray and brought to Dallas Animal Services. He was adopted mid-March, only to be returned the same day, 2 hours later. He then went to a foster-to-adopt, but was then returned for behavior stemming from anxiety.
