【軍隊如何有效率的放火？ TOS-1A重型火焰放射系統】 影片中這些很像多管火箭的車輛，不是由裝甲兵或砲兵操作，而是由工兵或化學兵操作喔！因為他們實際上是「火焰放射車」，也就是大名鼎鼎，一輛車就能毀掉一個小型村莊的TOS-1A（重型火焰投射系統1A型）。 談到TOS-1A的履歷，要先提「火焰噴射器」，如需對付敵方工事或坑道，除了炸藥外，火焰噴射器直至今日還是重要的武器。 但是由於燃料型態與壓縮機動力的限制，火焰噴射器射程都頗短，人力攜帶的火焰噴射器有效射程約20-30m，就算是噴火戰車，有效射程也頂多100m～150m，在開闊地作戰，非常危險，而且噴火兵或噴火裝置往往是敵方優先集火消滅的對象。 先前介紹過美軍以「火箭」作為火焰放射裝置，射程比噴火器遠的多，即M202 肩射式火焰肩射突擊武器（FLame Assault SHoulder Weapon，FLASH）。其使用TPA（Thickened Pyrophoric Agent）這種遇空氣即自燃並放熱到攝氏1200度的烈性縱火劑，取代凝固汽油。 前蘇聯也有一樣的思路，但希望火箭有更大的射程，以及更強的威力，於是發展出220mm大口徑的
