This is Comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF) the green comet observed from my back deck last night's closest pass to 🌎. It is traveling at 24 miles a second or 86,400mph and in this video of 9 minutes at data it traveled over 14,000 miles. It is about 24 million miles from earth and it took about 2.37 light minutes for its light to get to our eyes on earth. Remember light travels at 186,000 miles per second. Light from the 🌞 takes about 8 minutes to get to 🌎, light from the 🌔 takes about 1.3 seconds. #nasa
