We all have unconscious gender biases and they're undermining progress on gender equality and blocking women’s career advancement. What is unconscious gender bias? It’s assuming, for example, that a man in the meeting is in charge. Unconscious gender biases are our automatic mental associations based on gender. They come from traditions, norms, values, culture and experience. The problem is that they influence our decision-making, leading to different opportunities for women and men. Three women
